Meet Dr. Nguyen
DR. KHANH NGUYEN, MD
Born in Saigon, Vietnam, Dr. Nguyen came to the US alone in 1982 as a refugee seeking freedom and the opportunity to fulfil her childhood dream to pursue a career in medicine. With hard work and dedication, she graduated from high school with high honors and received a full scholarship to USC with a major in Biology. She then went to Rush medical college in Chicago followed by her residency in Internal Medicine. With continued growing interest in medicine, she then went on to receive additional training from a fellowship in Critical care Medicine. She since has been in practice for over 20 years as an internist , the last 10 years in Austin, Texas.
With the passion to continue to gain new knowledge in order to best serve her patients, she became interested in the new fields of Regenerative Medicine and Functional Medicine. Regenerative therapies allow to approach the root cause all diseases using biologics to promote the body to repair, restore and regenerate. These treatment options have a significant advantage over traditional ones that only offer symptomatic relief as “band-aid”.
She also firmly believes in the healing power of real and healthy foods, the powerful gut-brain-heart connection, along with the use of natural supplements and the endless proven benefits of meditation. Her philosophy is the “whole Person” approach using the combination of the above mention treatment modalities.
She firmly promotes active, happy and healthy lifestyle and became very interested in the new field of regenerative aesthetics. These fairly new but safe, natural and effective procedures allow patients to look and feel their best to match their inner younger feelings with all available anti-aging therapies. Within a short time, she already sets herself as a local and national authority in the fields Regenerative Medicine and Regenerative Aesthetics from teaching other providers, public speaking/seminars and participating in various ongoing research studies.
