9. USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
ART may use technology that includes artificial intelligence to support administrative work, such as scheduling, organizing information, and drafting communications. These tools are operated by vendors under contract, and we require vendors that handle health information to protect it.
If artificial intelligence is used in connection with your diagnosis or treatment, your care team will tell you, as Texas law requires, and a licensed practitioner reviews any AI-generated records.
We do not permit our vendors to use your health information to train their artificial intelligence models.
10. HOW WE PROTECT INFORMATION
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls that limit health records to personnel who need them for treatment, payment, or health care operations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
11. WHERE INFORMATION IS STORED
We store personal information in the United States. Electronic health records of Texas patients are maintained in the United States, including records held by our cloud and software vendors, as Texas law requires.
