First, a small amount of blood is drawn from your arm and spun in a centrifuge to isolate platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from your blood.

PRP contains your body's natural growth factors involved in the healing process from injuries. These growth factors stimulate the production of new blood vessels, collagen synthesis, and recruitment of stem cells into the treatment area.

Then, a Radio Frequency (RF) microneedling device is used to create multiple micro-punctures, creating a stimulus for tightening and rejuvenation of the collagen of the face. Radio Frequency (RF) Microneedling is a collagen induction therapy, also known as microneedling, dermarolling, or skin needling, used to generate new collagen and skin tissue to treat scars, wrinkles, and large pores for smoother, firmer, more toned skin, while improving skin texture, tone, firmness, and vibrancy.

Then, your own PRP is applied over the micro-punctures so that the growth factors soak into the tissue to further stimulate skin tightening and rejuvenation.

A PDO thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure that can lift loose and sagging skin on the cheeks, jawline, or neck.

PDO, which stands for polydioxanone, is an absorbable polymer thread that lifts the skin and stimulates the body to form new collagen around the threads. The threads dissolve about 6 months after insertion, but results last up to about 18 months due to the increased collagen production.

Before treatment, your skin will be marked for insertion and direction of the threads, then the insertion points will be thoroughly anesthetized. Multiple threads can be inserted through the same point in the skin.

PDO threads are attached to a long cannula, which is pushed through the tissue beneath the skin. When the thread has reached its predetermined end point, the thread will be released and the cannula removed. This process will be repeated until the desired lift has been achieved, with as many 1-15 threads inserted depending on the treatment area and concern being addressed.

Any extra thread will be trimmed and the threads will be massaged to ensure the tissue is smooth. Recovery is minimal after a PDO thread lift procedure. You may experience some minor swelling or bruising, but these fade within a few days and most patients can return to work and normal activities right away.
